Hoy ha salido al mercado este disco al que ya le tenía ganas. Desde que en 2008 publicó "Workin' Man's Cafe", andaba yo esperando a ver por donde salía este buen hombre.
El 21 de Enero, compartió en NPRla canción "Poetry" como una primera toma de contacto. Ahora ya puedes disfrutar del disco entero.

La canción que despide el disco -'You're gonna live forever in me'- comienza con un silbido marca de Bing Crosby y una melodía a lo Desperado de Eagles y luego recuerda a Billy Joel. En los felices '80, creo que la tecnología propició una avalancha de ideas tanto a nivel musical como intelectual. Little Big Town ha sacado un nuevo disco del que te hablaré otro día. Hoy, ya que es sábado noche, te dejo un 'sin pulgas' de la cadena CMT (Country Music Television) de hace ya cinco años. Sin desperdicio todo el mini concierto -unos veinte minutos- pero no te pierdas la segunda canción... una versión country de 'Born this way' de Lady Gaga.
Morgan es una banda madrileña de esas que te impresiona a la primera. Hace un año presentaron su primer disco: North. Ahora acaba de aparecer en las tiendas... Esto es España amigos. ;-)
He escogido dos canciones. La tercera de las trece que componen el disco es este, Praying.
La sexta: Attempting.
Y como deberes para el fin de semana, te propongo que busques la 'bonus track' titulada, Volver.
Nacida en Luton, unos 50 Kms al NNO de Londres, en 2011 auto-publicó "Live at Hideaway" y en 2013 hizo lo mismo con "Dirt OnMy Tongue". Entre 2013 y 2014 fue nominada varias veces en los premios de Blues Británico. Este es su -hasta la fecha- último trabajo, publicado este mismo año. Consta de 10 canciones, mas una de regalo,con la colaboración de Michael McDonald.
El sencillo de promoción y regalo: "When We Were Young". El piano del final...La producción, con unos graves y medios de escándalo. :-D Si te da por escuchar el disco entero, hay canciones que quitan el hipo.Por ejemplo, la cuarta; titulada "The Reformation".
